Vessel documentation can be complicated. The amount documentation even a small boat can require in the United States can be staggering. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by everything that you’ll have to deal with when it comes to your vessel’s documentation. That being said, it doesn’t have to be difficult. We’ve done everything in our power to make it as simple and easy for our customers as possible. In this blog, we’ll go over what our boat documentation services can truly do for you. Then, we’ll add in some additional benefits that even previous users may not be aware of.
Simplified Boat Documentation Services
There’s nothing efficient about mailing in a form. Filling out a form by hand and mailing it in is a hassle at best and a significant time waste at worst. Obviously, it’s not a waste of time to fill out a form by hand if that’s the only way that you can do it, but it sure doesn’t go fast. The added problem with filing out vessel documentation by hand is that mistakes even miniscule ones will be caught by the USCG. Then, they’ll mail the form back to you. That could mean that you have to start the entire form or process over again. All you wanted to do was have the write documentation for your boat, now you’re filling out an entire novel’s worth of information (essentially). We realized there had to be a better way.
Our Documentation Services
So, when you come to our site, you’ll find that all of the documentation you’ll need for to make your vessel USCG compliant (and more) is on our site. Even better, you don’t have to print these forms up. You don’t have to take them in hand then fill them out, one by one, then stuff them in an envelope and send them off somewhere. Instead, you can save hours (if not more) and just press a few buttons and voila – they’re sent off the proper authorities. That’s the power of our services: they give you hours of your life back. You can spend them on your vessel, your family, or literally anything else that you want.
Secure Documentation
The one benefit of filling out forms by hand: they can’t be hacked. No one has figured out a way yet to hack into a piece of paper. So, we quickly realized for our documentation services to be a true asset to our customers, they had to be as secure as possible. That’s why we’re always looking for ways to make them more secure. For example, as of this writing, we’ve added new SSL encryption to our submission portal. Make no mistake; our submission portal was already quite secure, but this SSL encryption makes it even more secure. We’ve found that you can’t have a submission portal that’s too secure. The more secure we make it, the more peace of mind we can offer our documentation customers.
The Forms You Need in One Place
Vessel documentation has, to put it charitably, a language all its own. Many of these forms use terms that people don’t use in everyday boating, let alone everyday life. So, if you don’t know the exact kind of documentation you’re looking for, it can be hard to find online. You could be searching through the search engines using terms that don’t quite fit what it is your vessel needs. That’s just one of the many reasons that we put all of the documentation our customers need all in one place. This way, you don’t have to keep searching through the internet to find what you need: you can look in the center of our page and then on the left. It really is that easy.
We’ve made the process for filing out documentation as easy as possible. We realized we’d hit our goal once we saw that the third step of our process is, quite literally “enjoy your yacht.” That means that it’s really a two step process. The forms you need, in an easy to fill in format, with submission just being a couple clicks. That’s as easy and simple a process as can be. That being said, we’re always looking for ways to make it even better for our customers.
Vessel documentation can be complicated, yes. The forms themselves may ask a series of questions that you don’t quite know the answer to. Or, perhaps you’re new to boating and vessels, so you aren’t 100% sure what kinds of documentation your vessel needs. We’ve helped so many over the years to find the right documentation. So, if you have any questions about the proper documentation or how to fill these forms out, we’d love to talk to you. Just head to our site and send a message through there or give us a call at (800) 535-8570.
